On November 29th, children, parents and grandparents gathered around on a cold winter night at the Heritage Center to celebrate the annual Christmas tree lighting.
On that night people enjoyed performances by the Walton Elementary and Prince George High School choirs.
“I think I liked the last song we preformed which was “Jingle Bells” the most because our dynamics were really good,” Prince George choir member Amanda Harris said. “And we really connected as a choir.”
Performances by the 392nd Army band from Fort Lee and a performance by the dancers from Gotta Dance also took place.
Shortly after the Christmas tree was lit families and friends gathered under the tree to take pictures to save as memories for many years.
”My favorite part of this event was seeing everyone perform,” participant Lauren Gambill said
Towards the end of the night people collected their family members and their friends and ended the night with laughter and cheers.
“It’s a tradition to come every year with my mom,” Gambill said.
