I love that they picked Petersburg to film this movie. It was a great location and I think that it really helped some of the businesses around there. There is so much history around us and we rarely stop to ever notice. The pictures are great and let everyone see a little bit of what the movie will look like. It looks authentic and I think movie-goers will love it.

I am happy to see that a historical movie is being filmed in the streets of Petersburg. It is such an honor to see big shots like Steven Spielberg picking our tri-county area to film a movie. Lots of time and effort must have been put into making those stores seem so authentic. This is a great moment for Petersburg.

Yet another historic event happening right by Prince George County. Old town Petersburg is quiet and quaint. Until…the very famous Steven Spielberg himself came to film the major picture movie he is producing at this very area. It was the latest news and all the rage about the stars and writers themselves being so close to our small town of Prince George. The movie will definitely be seen by many of us! The photos are like a sneak peak to what is to be seen on the big picture, very exciting.

I think these pictures are really great! It really opens up everyones eyes to the history that we have literally right next door. Everyone thinks Prince George is a really boring place, but when you look at what is going on around us, it isn’t very boring anymore. It is just a cool feeling to be able to watch the movie with your children and say, “I was there when they filmed that!”

This pictures are really cool especially because they are just taken in Petersburg. It weird to know that their is a movie being filmed in the next city over. They cover many aspects of the movie set, too.

The coolest thing about these photos is that my ring dance group, along with several other ring dance groups, were taking pictures there right before they transformed it into the set. I am going to have to watch the movie, and then annoyingly point my finger and scream “I was there once!” when the movie scene occurs with them in Petersburg.

This is an excellent picture. It captures a carriage, along with what appears to be some actors dressed in late 19th century attire, on an old street, but I do not think the power lines add to the effect in which the movie was trying to portray.

These are so cool! I think it is amazing that the filming of a movie was happening so locally and TRN was able to get pictures of history being made. These photos are so clear and close it really allows the viewer to feel the energy that was going on around the movie set!

They were letting anyone walk around on set and take pictures earlier today before they started filming.
