Girls Soccer Defeats Dinwiddie On Senior Night 11-0

The stadium was filled with a bittersweet atmosphere as the girls soccer team cherish their last home game. The field they have played on for numerous seasons will soon be missing the screams of victory and firm, fast movement of their soccer cleats.

While they move swiftly left and right down the field anticipating the rush of adrenaline that shoots through their veins when they score another goal; the very feeling they play for. Tears filled the athletes’ eyes as they embrace each other, their emotions being tossed around with both sadness and triumph. They had succeeded in winning the game and for the Seniors it would be the final home game they would be able to play.

With a very lofty score of 11-0 the Dinwiddie Generals lost to the skill of the girls soccer team. Leading the team was Sarah Tinker with five goals and two assists. Marley Guidry contributed with two goals along with Abby Harrell, Willow Hart, Mariah Luna, and Mariah Ramirez all with a goal.

Abby Harrell, Mariah Luna, and Mariah Ramirez each recorded an assist. Rachel Hughes had one save in goal. The girls of the game were Madison Strang and Sarah Tinker. Ending the fast paced game with another win the Royals are now 14-1.
