This movie will be coming out in theatres on Friday, March 8, 2013 and it promises to be magical.

Walt Disney Pictures is producing the film with a two hundred million dollar budget along with a few known actors such as Mila Kunis and James Franco. It is about a magician, that is taken from Kansas right into the land of Oz. Throughout the movie he battles within himself if he will be a good person or be selfish.

In the end, Oscar Diggs finds himself bound to the city. Along the way he meets three witches that sort of guide him throughout the movie into the man he will become. Diggs will have to find out who is good and who is evil along his journey as well.

The movie is seen as the prequel to The Wizard of Oz. It explains how things came to be in this well-known story, even being somewhat before the play Wicked (a play that explains the story of Glinda and the Wicked Witch of the West). It shows how the wizard of Oz became the almighty wizard of the land.

The movie trailers claim the movie to be a climatic and transforming experience, and the box office will reflect whether it turns out to be so.
