On Wednesday, June 5th, the Class of 2019 experienced something that none of their previous classes have been able to do, and that is walk the halls together of the elementary alma maters.
Students boarded buses at 9 AM on Wednesday to travel to Harrison Elementary, Walton Elementary, South Elementary, North Elementary, and Beazley Elementary. When they arrived they were met by the current principals who welcomed the graduating seniors into their cafeteria and spoke to them about what they were about to experience.
Seniors returned to the high school to quickly grab a snack to eat and then return to the day’s activities. They processed to the gym where they heard a keynote address by history teacher Kendall Warren. After the address, Principal Mike Nelson announced awards and handed out medals.
Following the ceremony the graduates assembled for their senior class gap and gown photo.
At the conclusion of the events, graduates changed out of their formal attire and gathered outside the gym lobby for the annual senior bash, complete with food, big blow-up slides and jousting pits.
