After leading much of the first quarter at home on Thurs. Jan 21, the Royals started to fall behind against Thomas Dale in the second quarter, trailing 32-35.
The Royals kept it close, never falling behind more than a couple of baskets. But as the clock ticked down, the Royals could not overtake the Knights falling by just one point off of the game winning basket made by M.J. Coleman of Thomas Dale.
Coleman led the Knights with 24 points. Jalen Blackwell (14) and Elijah Gregory (13) were the other Dale top scores.
Savonte Chappell led the Royals’ scores with 23 points. Asante Turner (18) and Cory Hill (13) were the other Royal top scorers.
Prince George has a break now for exams but will play at home against Colonial Heights on Fri., Jan. 29th at 7:30 PM.
