The Royals basketball team defeated the Colonial Heights Colonials on Friday, January 4, at Colonial Heights, 70 to 67. This win brings the Royals to 2-4 in the Central District and the Colonials to 0-5.The Royals were led by Deandre Strickland with 12 points and Shawn Broughton with 18 points. A late drive by the Colonials was fought off by the strong full court play of the Royals. A last ditch three by Colonial Heights came up short and the Royals took the win.
