On Saturday evening, Nov. 5th, the Miss PGHS pageant took place to mark the annual fall fundraiser for the senior class. Fifteen senior girls participated in the pageant. Senior Madison Guidry was crowned Miss PGHS this year and Carrie Young won first runner-up, while Malikah Williams won second runner-up. Senior Mackenzie Topian was named Miss Congeniality. I was in the pageant and while it was fun backstage, onstage I was extremely nervous. I’ve been dancing since before I was two, therefore I’ve been in dance recitals since then. I’ve also been in plays. So it may be hard to believe that I had stage fright. I think it was the fear of being judged that made me scared.
