This I Believe By Ridhi Patel

I believe that you can’t depend on anyone else; you can only depend on yourself! Why would you want to depend on others when you can do it your self. There might be some things that you need help with and need to depend on others for. There also will be some people you know that are going to be there for you like your family and some of your friends that you trust with anything. You should be independent not dependent. If you depend on others all the time you will never be your own person.

One time last year I was having some guy troubles, so I told one of my friends even though she was not a close one. I dependent on her to help me and give me some advice since she knew what was going on. I told her everything that was going on. She was a good friend to me even though she was good friends with him. I didn’t know then that I could not be dependent on her. After a while she should give me bad advice that would make me lose him even more than, instead of helping me work out our problem. I soon found out that she liked him the whole time, even though she wanted to help.

Everyone wants to dependent on someone like a friend or boyfriend/girlfriend. Don’t depend on others to make you happy, go and find your happiness. You can depend on that person after you find happiness. After you turn a certain age to work go make your own money so you don’t have to ask your parent for it. You can buy what ever you want with out having to ask them for more. If you want to depend on someone, find a person that will help you in anything you need help with, that will listen to you and guide you through hard times and good times of life. Its ok if your are a strong independent person and still need to depend on some one but still be that strong person that you are. Don’t depend on anyone else; you can only depend on yourself.
