This I believe: Change is good.
In my life, I have gone through many changes, some that have broken me, and some that have helped me, but all of them have made me the person I am today.
When I was about 11 my family and I moved from a suburban community to Prince George, a house that was in the middle of nowhere. Trees, bugs, deer, and most prominent in my mind being away from everything and everyone I had known.
The change from Chesterfield to Prince George schools changed my life. Starting fifth grade an awkward naïve child, I was terrified.
Seven years later, I am extremely happy that we moved. Something that I saw as uprooting my life before made everything so much better. I made new friends, even more than I had had before, and for once I felt a sense of belonging. The teasing that had taken place in previous years was something left in the past, and I have become a much happier person.
I am now grateful for all of the changes that have taken place in my life, especially that move.
