I am really glad that this was covered by our news staff. These students have been hard at work to produce the best magian possible for the school. They have really put a lot of time into working on it. They stay after quite a bit from what I've seen and the issue should at least be appreciated for that alone. In addition, the magazine seems to have a lot to offer this year both in art and writing. There have been a ton of entries too so this will definitely make for a production worth taking the time to read.

This article is very informational. It really reveals that there is way more to the whole holiday than just tossing around beads and wearing green, purple, and yellow. It is great that the writer mentioned how it got started as well as the meaning for the whole celebration. Another great aspect of the article is how the writer included what the holiday means from a religious standpoint since it is after all derived from the Catholic church.

I saw this last year and it was great. The guy does this for a living I believe. He really brings to life the president for all of us since no one really was alive to live it. It was kind of like living a bit of history in modern times. At one point,I even forgot it was an actor because he did such a great job of bringing the role to life. He even knew more than what we are taught by the books in class, so it was kind of a history lesson in a sense. He had to know a lot in order to talk for an hour and fifteen minutes roughly.

I like that the author took such a strong stand against bullying. I to think that bullying is wrong and that there needs to be more done about it. I also agree that the affects of bullying can last a persons whole life and affect them in every aspect of their life. I think that schools need to take a stronger stand against bullying and that teachers need to be more informed on the signs of bullying. Also schools need to have better counseling for students who are getting bullied. I liked and thought that this was a very well written article.

I learned something form this article that i had never known before and i think thats what a good newspaper article should do. The article was very well written it was very easy to understand and it didn't go off topic.I never knew where mardi gras actually came from but now that i know the origin of it i now understand why some people say mardi gras instant really about partying. The one thing i do have to say is that I dont know if the last sentence should of been included in the article.

I personally found this article to very helpful because I was thinking of getting a gym membership and didnt really know where to go. I had thought of American Family Fitness but it was to expense to me and i thought i wouldnt use some of the things that much. I'm happy that a new gym came to colonial heights cause now I'll be able to go and it won't break my bank. This article definitely encouraged me to go to golds gym for sure now. I also liked the student comments in the article about the gym.

I found this article to be very interesting because you hear of this stuff but you never know real facts about it this article gave you very good information about spice. I'm very happy that spice was made illegal because it was just like a drug it was just as addictive and as harmful. While it was legal there were people dying.

I thought the article was very well written but it seems like there could of been more research done on the topic.

I absolutely agree that the effects of bullying prevail all way through adulthood—especially in severe cases. Most instances of bullying do occur in teen years, when kids are developing into adults at different stages and are unsure of themselves. Bullying in disguise occurs everywhere, everyday, and often ADULTS are the culprits. Extremely impressionable kids are exposed to violence and caustic remarks made by people they admire on reality shows, and they find fun in following the example. I think it’s great that bullying is finally being addressed head-on in the news and more importantly in schools—hopefully the message is received and is taken seriously.

I think that Blackboard is a great option for students who are genuinely interested in a more in-depth learning experience or students who are interested in taking classes that their high school does not offer. However, the program should be limited to students who are capable of being mature and behaving in a classroom where they’re essentially without supervision. Therefore, perhaps teacher aids could be combined with teachers who teach via internet in an effort to integrate the program into more schools. As for PGHS, I think this teaching method should wait for a while, as something similar was used in the past to test out a Japanese Foreign Language Class and was unsuccessful.
