On Saturday, April 29th, students waited in line at the door to flood the Old Towne Civic Center for Prom 2017. The theme this year was based on a trip around the world. With passports in hand, the students celebrated in fashion.
The prom court winners were announced around 10 PM and this year’s prince and princess were Chris Brunot and Anna Simmons, with the king and queen being Jake Rivera and Jessi Phillips.
For the first time there were two DJs and even a dance floor outside. This provided the opportunity to spread out on the very warm and muggy evening where temperatures were in the 90s. Last year the crowd remained inside for the most part due to the rain.
