    DECA Brings Home Awards From State Competition

    This past weekend members of DECA travelled to the state competition which took place in Virginia Beach, VA. Hundreds of teams competed from all over the state.

    Members of the Prince George DECA chapter took home several awards and three students will be eligible to travel to Anaheim, California, in April to compete in the national competition.

    Senior Whitney Hill placed in two role plays and test in in the category of Sports and Entertainment Marketing. Senior David Roane  placed in two role plays and test in Apparel and Accessories Marketing. Sophomore Shanice Davis placed in two role plays and test in Automotive Services Marketing.

    In addition several students won individual state medals in roles plays or testing.

    Keith Brown – Role Play – Sports And Entertainment Marketing ; Derrick Taylor – Role Play – Automotive Services Marketing ; Peyton Collier – Role Play  – Business Finance Services ; Jessi Bailey – Testing – Hospitality Services Marketing ; Bre Anna Johnson – State Finalist in Role Play & Testing – Human Resource Management.
