For the first time this season what was expected to be a closely fought contest turned into a blowout by the boys basketball team over visiting Dinwiddie. Behind leading scorer junior forward Jeffrey Robinson with 16 points, the Royals shot 20-24 and ran away with game in the second half, winning 84-58.

Also coming up big on the offensive side of the ball was junior center Christian Chappell who put in 15 points of his own and senior guard Malik Nash with 15 also. Five Royals scored in double figures on the night.

This was a big win for the Royals who had lost two games over the holiday break after closing out school with a win over Colonial Heights. They Royals are now 3-6 overall and face Varina tonight.
