Originally scheduled to begin on Friday, Feb. 14, the Regional 5A South wrestling and track tournaments start today. The inclement weather that hit the area on Wednesday evening and continued through Thursday, closed schools throughout central and northern Virginia. Many of those schools compete in the South 5A region.
Wrestling will now begin today at 2:00 PM at Clover Hill High School and finish Sunday.
Indoor track will begin today at the Boo Williams Sportsplex in Hampton, VA. It will conclude on Monday. Most school divisions will have no school for students due to the Presidents’ Day holiday observance.
