Warner Bros. hits us again with the sequel to Clash of the Titans as we follow the story of Perseus once more in Wrath of the Titans.
More than a decade after killing the deadly Kraken, Perseus has had a son, Helius, and is attempting to live a normal life as a fisherman. His father, Zeus, approaches Perseus for help because the gods are losing power due to the lack of prayer from the people of the world. I was very pleased that the gods were used a lot more in this movie and even fight in the end.
After refusing to help, Hades and Ares capture Zeus so his power can be given to Kronos, the father of all gods. If Hades succeeds, the titans will rule the world and destroy all humans. Perseus must find Poseidon’s son, and as the last demigods save his father and the world.
This movie is a great story of Greek mythology and gives action a whole new level. I was very pleased with the visual effects and the fighting. I did not like the amount of monsters added to the movie, but it made it so there was never a dull moment.
The actors did even better than the previous movie and helped keep the intensity throughout the whole film. The sequel definitely lived up to the first and I give it a 4.5 out 5. I highly recommend this movie if you love intense action and violence with a little sprinkle of drama.
