According to bloomingtonmn.org, when calculated, it was discovered that seven Yankee Stadiums could fit in the mall. In fact, the venue is the former home of the Minnesota Vikings and Twins shared stadium. The “Home Plate” can be found in the center of the mall on display.
When visiting the mall, there is a lot one might want to know before getting knee deep in shopping and dining.
“Wear comfortable shoes and only bring as much money as you can afford to spend,” junior Nathan Britt said.
It would take an individual 86 hours to spend ten minutes to shop in all 520-plus stores.
“Looking at the map, it was really overwhelming because it was just four floors of insanity,” senior Carrie Young said.
Students had different reactions to the numerous stores found in the mall.
“Michael Kors is probably my favorite designer and usually you can only get his stuff online and in department stores and there he had like a whole store and it was really exciting,” senior Madison Guidry said.
There were a lot of unique elements in the mall, but Young thought that the amusement park to be the most unique.
The mall decorations for the holidays added to the experience of the first time visit to the great shopping center.
“There was not as many people there as I thought, but maybe it was just that the mall was so big that you could not tell,” junior Kris Harrison said. “It was cool how they had lights hanging from the ceiling and there was a giant Christmas tree which made the mall look festive.”
With four floors and over 520 stores The Mall of America has something for everyone. It draws in tourists from around the country, and for people who love to shop it provides the experience of a lifetime.
